Description
A completed needlepoint tapestry of Constable's "The Hay Wain" — the cottage, the millpond and the hay wagon mid-crossing — worked in wool on canvas and framed under glass in a silver-and-mahogany moulding. A big piece of patient handwork on a classic subject. The colours are still strong; the frame shows light scuffs (see photo). Sold as-is.
