A ceramic salt or pepper shaker printed with two lion cubs and the bilingual caption "BORDER DUTY — GRENSDIENS", finished with a brown drip glaze at the crown and foot. A genuinely uncommon piece of South African Border War-era memorabilia — the sort of small thing that finds a determined collector. The glaze is crazed overall, consistent with age (see photo).
